The rumors were true, we will be entitled to a hybrid-powered Chevrolet Corvette called Corvette E-Ray. The official unveiling will take place on January 17th by General Motors. The vehicle will make its debut for 2024. Note that this will be the first hybrid-powered Corvette offered by GM in 70 years!
We were treated to the first images of this Corvette through a video posted on Chevrolet's social networks. This video allowed us to see a preview of the vehicle in action on the road, also in winter conditions. In addition, we were treated to close-ups of the headlights, the wheels, as well as the front of the vehicle.
We can see that this Corvette E-Ray will offer all-wheel drive and will surely be equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine, found on the Corvette Stingray. All-wheel drive will enhance the performance of the Corvette E-Ray, even in winter! A regenerative braking system could also be included on the new Corvette.
We also notice in the video that the “Stealth” mode is activated by the driver. This mode allows you to start your car and drive for a while, without the car making any noise, so as not to disturb the neighborhood.
