The 2018 Buick Encore utilizes a 1.4-litre turbocharged I-4 with two different power outputs. The standard multisport version has 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. The car experts’ preference is the optional direct-port injection version that delivers 153 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. In the Motor Trend road test, the 2017 Buick Encore Sport Touring with front-wheel drive reached 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and at 100 km/h had a respectable stopping distance of 119 feet.
