Meet the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray Hybrid

On January 17, General Motors unveiled its all-new 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray Hybrid during a presentation at the research and development center in Milford, Michigan. Remember that this is the first Corvette with a hybrid engine offered by GM in 70 years! The car is expected to hit the market in 2024. In the meantime, here's what we know about the all-new Corvette E-Ray.

Under the hood

We can see that this Corvette E-Ray will offer all-wheel drive and will be equipped with the V8 engine, the same found in the Stingray, which will develop 495 horsepower. In addition, the engine will be paired with a 1.9 kWh battery, which will be found under the center console, and a 160 horsepower electric motor housed in the front. We are talking about a maximum combined power of 655 horsepower, which will allow acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds. It will be THE fastest Corvette in history! As for all-wheel drive, it will enhance the performance of the Corvette E-Ray, even in winter.

We are also entitled to the "Stealth" mode, which can be activated by the driver, in order to start the car and drive for a while without the machine making any noise. When this mode is activated, it is possible to drive up to a maximum of 72 km/h.
