Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup : Celebrate the best off-ice season

Chevrolet and Hockey Canada are hosting the 3rd edition of the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup this year. This program is for pee-wee hockey teams, and aims to encourage youth to become involved in their community.

To participate in the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup contest, pee-wee hockey teams must first choose a cause they care about and organize a volunteer day or fundraiser. For example, teams can volunteer at an animal shelter, perform a variety of tasks for a seniors' home, raise funds for an organization in Vaudreuil-Soulanges, or participate collectively in one of the area's Christmas food drive. The possibilities are numerous; just invest time to make a difference in the community.

Teams wishing to participate are invited to upload a video of about 1 minute on Youtube that illustrates the good action. The registration form, where you will need to add the Youtube link to your capsule, can be filled here:http://bit.ly/GoodDeedsCup. Registration must be done by January 2nd.

The winning team across Canada wins the following prizes: $ 100,000 for the organization of their choice, a report on the team on Hockey Night in Canada, a ceremony in your city, various Chevrolet and Hockey Canada brand gifts, and the name of the winning team on the Good Deeds Cup.

The last edition of the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup was won by a Manitoba team that raised funds for a homeless shelter.
