AutoForce Group and Road Safety! 7 driving errors to avoid.
This summer, protect yourself and others from the road.

Best of all, when you're driving a Mazda, Toyota, Chevrolet or Cadillac, why not enjoy the ride and avoid some driving errors commonly seen on our roads? For even safer driving, the AutoForce Group is proud to tell drivers about some mistakes to avoid.

7 mistakes to avoid on our roads

Over time, it's fair to say that most drivers develop bad driving habits. These habits endanger not only our safety, but also that of our fellow citizens, our friends’ children and our family. Worse still, several times a year we see disrespectful or dangerous behaviour on our roads.

All drivers have to drive change in order to make our roads safe for all users, cyclists and pedestrians. Here are some things we need to avoid:

  • 1. No cell phones while driving: 5 demerit points and a $300 fine.
  • 2. Don’t follow too closely: you can’t predict what the driver in front of you might do and there’s no margin of error in protecting your passengers.
  • 3. Don’t apply make-up during traffic jams; sun visors and mirrors have other functions.
  • 4. Signal properly when turning or making a lane change. A simple way to avoid surprises.
  • 5. Slow down in parking lots. We never see the little ones who have escaped their parents’ watchful eye. This is also part of being a responsible driver.
  • 6. No debris in the car or too many objects between the driver's seat and the passenger's seat. One day or another you’ll try to find your cell phone that’s fallen near your feet. Make sure this space is always clear.
  • 7. Don’t misue your horn; the other driver may not have seen you. At least give them benefit of the doubt, even if its use is sometimes justified.

In short, safer roads begin with all drivers of road vehicles, and start mainly with ourselves. We wish you a summer of driving pleasure and thoughtful, safe driving.
